Sending out a Meeting Reminder

Have you ever started a scheduled meeting, patiently waiting for your guest to arrive, only to find out later that they forget about you? Even though we rely on our calendars to remind us of upcoming meetings, we sometimes simply miss the mark. Don't let that happen again.

You can now send a personalized text reminder to your guest that you have started the meeting and waiting for them to join. Included in the text are simple instructions for them to join your meeting or they can click a link and join from their mobile device.

How do I access this feature

This "reminder" feature is for Premium users only. You can access it from the main menu under "Text Reminder".

What is the content of the text

The message of the text is customizable. By default, the text reads

{host name} started your meeting. To join, go to sidespeak.com and select the ‘Join’ option from the top menu and enter {room name} or click the following link to join from this device: https://sidespeak.com/herokuapp.com/meet/{roomname}

What's the difference between sending an invitation vs. a reminder?

There are two main difference between sending an invitation and sending a reminder message.

1. An invitation is emailed and a reminder message is sent via text

2. The messaging on the invitation is to schedule a future meeting where the messaging on the reminder text is once a meeting is already started.

Who is the text coming from?

The reminder text comes from +1-815 864 8978

Can I respond to the reminder text?

Currently, replying to the text does nothing. In future upgrades we are using AI to help answer general meeting questions like "How do I..."
