Stay organized and efficient during your meetings with SideSpeak's integrated Notepad. Notepad ensures that you can jot down critical points, action items, or spontaneous ideas seamlessly, without ever needing to switch screens or applications.
Positioned conveniently to the right of your meeting space, this feature blends naturally into your meeting interface, so you're always just a glance away from your notes. Whether you're documenting key takeaways, drafting a quick agenda, or noting questions for later, the SideSpeak notepad keeps your thoughts structured and accessible. Upgrade to premium and unlock a more holistic meeting experience.
This feature is only for the Platinum edition and higher. To open the Notepad, start your meeting and click the SideSpeak Main Menu and select "Open Notepad".
You can also open your notepad from the main SideSpeak dashboard. Click the SideSpeak main menu and select "Open Notepad".
All notes are automatically saved to your Browser by default. The notes saved to your Browser, although secure, can be deleted when you clear your browser data/cache so this is more of a temporary space.
We recommend you save your notes to either your local computer or the cloud (using Google Drive).
Each time you access the Notepad, you will be presented with a 'new' blank note space to start typing. If you want to open a previous note, click the Notepad menu and select "Open". You are presented with past notes as well as options to open notes from your Google Drive or local drive.
From the SideSpeak Notepad menu, select "Open' and find the note to remove. Scroll down to the bottom of the window and select 'Remove'.
Once the SideSpeak Notepad is open, click the icon in the top left. This is the Notepad main menu.
From this menu you can:
1. Create a New note
2. Open an existing note
3. Save notes
4. Insert pictures
5. Print
6. Access multiple Preferences including text sizes, colors, etc.
From the Notepad main menu, click the "Open" menu and you will see a 'Search' field. Type in any words to find them through past notes.

You can copy/paste images from other applications and the web or embed images with option 'Insert picture' from the main menu.
You can open and save documents in Google Drive. Follow the prompts under the 'Save' or 'Open' from the NotePad menu.
Currently, the SideSpeak Notepad is not compatible with the Safari browser. If you are using a Mac/iOS and would like to use the Notepad, please start SideSpeak in another browser like Chrome or Firefox.
Currently, trying to open previously saved notes from Google Drive within SideSpeak may not work on some operating systems.
There is an easy workaround. First refresh the current SideSpeak meeting to clear the empty white box on your screen. Second, use the following link https://www.calmlywriter.com/online/ which will open your SideSpeak Notepad in a separate tab where you can successfully access past notes from your Google Drive.
